European Porcelain Highlights from Shanghai History Museum
This wonderful exhibition is held by Nanjing Municipal Museum and
Shanghai History Museum. Over 100 exquisite European porcelain
wares, which were made in 18th -19th centuries, are displayed in the exhibition this time.
All the exhibits, which show us the history and the development of
European porcelain wares, were donated by Laszlo Parakovits
(collector, Canada) and his wife.
Chinese porcelain played an important role in the history of
European porcelain, therefore, so many Chinese factors were used in
European porcelain making at that time. Some of the porcelain wares
in this exhibition were used by European royal family at that time
and some of them are the epitome of the European people’s life and
the society at that time.
