Nanjing Ⅰcranium fossil was found in a cave near Mount Tang, and
referred to as homo erectus which is about 350,000 years so far. It
belongs to an adult female individual between 21 to 35 years old,
according to well-preserved parietal, frontal, left orbital, cheek,
nasal and occipital. Because of the high extent of fossilization,
the cranium shows a brownish color and recombined by three parts.
Analysis and studies that Nanjing man and Peking man quite resembled each other in
morphology and configuration, which both show markedly Mongoloid
ethnic traits. The characteristics of Mongolia ethnic always
accompanied with the evolution of Chinese ethnic group from ancient
time to modern society.
